Jam !

Yes I do realise how my blog is slowly dying at the moment, sorry about that. Been busy with uni and non-uni stuff.

Anyways, Nick just dropped me home; I just came back from a jamming session and boy was it good. And we even had a mucking around session after completing practice for the list of songs for tomorrow. Like we played a combination of songs like Jason Mraz's I'm Yours which flowed into Howie Day's You And I Collide and other cool songs. Ah, feels good to be playing in a band again.

Although I'm a little rusty, the rest were impressed with my playing :D Haha I'm sucha bragger at the moment but hey, been 2 years since I played in a band and it feels refreshing playing all over again.

In fact, I think my rolling has improved somehow. Maybe its all the listening to random songs and guitar hero as well.

Speaking of Guitar Hero, I was at Rieff's place, The Verve for dinner and GH before band practice. Zomg, the view from The Verve is awesome. I shall take pictures next time when we've got the flow of booze as well :P

And I had my first Lava Cake from Domino's Pizza today cos Rieff and friends ordered pizza :) Loved the company tonight, which is quite a change from dressing up for parties as the usual for my previous weekends.

Anyways, 8.30am, tomorrow. 1.5 hours earlier ! Back in Ipoh we only had to be around an hour earlier -__-

A good night's rest calls. Take care you all.

Strong Wind in Melbourne

Subject:Urgent warning to all students - onset of extreme weather (wind) conditions -- Tuesday 25 August 2009
Date: Tue, 25 Aug 2009 14:08:08 +1000
From: global.emails@its.monash.edu.au
To: bulkmessage@monash.edu.au
Reply-To: global.emails@its.monash.edu.au

***********************************************************************
A message from Peter Marshall - Vice-President (Administration)
***********************************************************************
As many students will be aware, the Bureau of Meteorology
(http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDV28000.shtml) and the State Emergency
Service ((http://www.ses.vic.gov.au/) and go to latest news.)
have issued warnings about very strong winds that are forecast across
Victoria from mid-afternoon today.
This is the second incident of strong winds in recent days; as some staff
will be aware, trees came down late last week at both Clayton and
Gippsland campuses causing damage to some parked cars.
As a precaution could you please ensure:
* that you do not park your vehicle under or near large trees;
* that doors and entrances are not left open;
* that items outside are properly secured or brought inside; and
* that you take extra care when driving.

In addition, given the potential for power outages and associated
transport disruption later today (particularly in metropolitan
Melbourne),
if you are able you should aim to travel home before the weather
conditions worsen (from mid afternoon onwards).

And I only read this email at 4pm that afternoon. Yes, the wind was strong but no worries I didn't get blown away.

With the strong winds and drop in temperature, its getting pretty cold here. And I thought spring was coming.

Take care you all.

Japanese Lunch at Koko, Crown

Weekend was so tiring. Even missed one night of sleep -__-

Anyways, I will talk about the awesome lunch I had with my aunt, uncle and cousin last Sunday. It was my uncle's birthday and I didn't know until the cake appeared -__- It was quite embarassing cause I went oh it's your birthday? Happy birthday ! -_______-

So many long faces in the entry.

Anyway, getting to the restaurant took me like 20minutes all because I entered Crown from the other entrance which is at the other end of Crown. Koko is an exquisite Japanese restaurant located at the third floor of Crown hotel. I didn't know that the third floor could only be accessed through a special lift which made my search for the restaurant even harder -___- but managed to get to the place, 20minutes late, embarassing yet again.

I love the food there nevertheless ! Ahh.. wish I lived with my aunt.. hahah

Entree

Best beef slice ever..

Main dish, some special beef called watagu or something cause the cows are specially fed = $46?!? I could have a lot more meat from Hurricane's Grill yo! But this beef dish was gooood

Last pic of food I took that day. Was too much of a pig already after the rest of the food came haha.

My uncle's kinda cute, its like my aunt and cousin, the two females in the family overpower him hahah

Aunt: Cmon, blow the candle already
Uncle: Okay okay..

LOL

Cousin Lydia and I all fat after quite a heavy lunch.. so much for losing weight.

Because our faces looked round in the previous pic, my smart doc cousin came up with the idea of using tea cups to hide part of the fat hahahah

Great view of the city and loved the atmosphere as well.. very "zen". I like.

Standing next to Lyd makes me look like a freakin kid man.

Lunch providers.. hahah bill came up to half a k =.=

She just makes me look short -__-

Beautiful day.

Oh, and I finally jammed after TWO freggin years of not even touching the sticks. I was quite suprised myself by how I can still play the instrument though I was rather rusty the first few beats but with a bit more confidence, we were just rocking as a band.. the good old days ! Can't wait for a proper band.. Hopefully I'll have a better group of friends to mix with as well which I strongly feel will enhance my relationship with Him. I need lots and lots of support as there is just so much distraction in the city of Melbourne.

Speaking of distraction, I need to get back to work.

?

Question mark for cluelessness. Check out the number of "s" sess in cluelessness. -__-

I don't have much to update on, it's the same ol' stuff which I don't think you'd wanna read about. I'm still trying to find the inner student soul of mine; I really think I left it in Malaysia or something.

4th Week of uni. O.M.G. And when I say omg I mean oh my goodness (don't know why I have to explain this so many times)

Don't know if I should hit the gym later. 5.30pm for body attack session. And YES, I managed to lose a kg finally, but I have a feeling I'm gonna gain it back this weekend, my awesome aunt and cousin DOCTOR Lydia (hahahah) are bringing me to some jap restaurant at Crown. My aunt even made reservations.. can't wait.

And I received an email about jamming this Saturday in the city too.. Don't know if I can make it tho.. Friday night, oh wait, that's tomorrow. HMMMM that was fast ?

Anyways, met Jo and Ling for some cakes last weekend. I had vanilla slice for the first time and Ling baked me brownies, which were sooo addictive (I think she added some ganja or something in there). Random shots of JojoGobanna and I at some rooftop, just because it was sunny and we could get a city view backdrop.

First shot: Jo being Jo :)

Second shot: Bad angles and some fat.

I heart tutu skirts. But I didn't get this one.. still considering (?)

Oh yah, I kinda splurged on clothes last week too. But it was gay cos on Thursday night, Don drove me to Chadstone to play arcade games -__- and I helped him win the stufftoy from those machines where you put in 2bucks and have 3 tries to grab a soft toy from a pile with pinchers. Spent about 15dollars on that -__- Well, not me, I spend my greens on food and clothes :P

Oh I went off topic. Got distracted by so many clothes at Chadstone, ended up spending an amount I do not wish to mention here but at Supre the other day in the city after church, I got such good buys: 4 pieces of clothes for under 30bucks ! And I thought I had to use my keycard but cash was more than enough hahahha.

meh........

07-08-09

I've been awake since 10am. Doing tutorial work atm because I came home at 2.45am. Well, that's what you get when you let your heart win. hahaha Paramore.

Anyways, today is the 7th of August 2009,

forming the date

07-08-09.

7-8-9

7/8/9

Pretty cool.

This is weird but I realised I've been kinda living a KL lifestyle over the past week because of the new group of friends I am mixing with atm. They're a funny bunch, mostly KL people. Why I say KL lifestyle? Because they own cars and go out for yum cha whenever they feel like it. So KL! It's also nice to have someone pick you up all the time now instead of taking public transport like the train to the city. It feels like it's been ages since I swiped my Connex pass.

I never lived such a lifestyle in Melbourne until the past week. Hmm.. there goes my healthy days of sleeping early and getting up in the morning for breakfast. Maybe I'll stick to this group till the middle of the sem? Too much for me to handle.

I have class at 10am. And it's 7am on the dot now.

I am super.

Over the Weekend

So its the second weekend for the second semester.

Lots have happened over this particular weekend. Involves people and drama. Meh.

First things first, it was Amanda's birthday party at none other than Seven, probably the hottest Asian club in Melbourne. Manda had a VIP table all booked so we didn't have to stand in the line thank goodness. We were told to be there at 10pm, and 10pm is really early for a night out clubbing but that night, it was also Seven's 2nd anniversary, and the crowd was larger than before. The non-table line stretched to about 5ometers I would estimate, and I ain't exaggerating at all here. Table line was long too but we didn't have to queue :)

That Friday night was an alright one, not too many drinks, in fact, too few. It was too crowded there and the dance floor wasn't much fun. They had some dance performance with white chicks dancing in lingerie towards the end (they ripped off their clothes -___-)

Saturday was awkward. Woke up in the afternoon. Was asked to join karaoke by Lisha in the city that night and also an invitation to go to Bass Lounge from the Koreans. Obviously I went for karaoke, I just partied last night man. But the funny thing was Bass Lounge and the karaoke centre we went to were really close to each other, both in China town.

Sunday was also awkward. Overslept and woke up late. Don fetched me to the city for some food and some lepaking. Never really loitered around Melbourne like that Sunday before. Normally my trips to the city would be filled so that the trip wouldn't be wasted but perhaps this time I have the convenience of transportation. Hmm.

Monday. Today. Classless. Woke up late again. Late would be after noon. Something is wrong with me this semester.

K. Pictures from Manda's birthday.

VIPness

Birthday girl Amanda and her sister, they're both gorg.

So happened Grace was also Amanda's friend ! In fact they're classmates. Small world.

Peace all the way -.-

Yay, was able to party with Grace again.

LOL the picture where I am not smiling -__-

Being Asian -_-

Can you see winter fat.. sigh..

Myself looking weird from such an angle, Manda and Lisha.

I have a couple of pictures from karaoke too, but they're still in the camera so yeah.

****

What do you do when life gets too dramatic ?
And the drama concerns people who mean something to you.

Let it die down (?)

Uni is going to be my bestfriend for the next few days. It has to be. I am still mixing up my subject names and what I've learnt. Attending lectures have me ending up with nothing different, only a more tired body from sitting down for 2hours.

I need my student mode back please, Chrys.
